Male art

Anonymous, a photographic exhibition by Marcus Mok, opens at Hares and Hyenas this month. Mok's work celebrates the vulnerability of the human form in relation to the harsh environment in which he must survive - rocks, concrete, timber, water. This exhibition features some of Mok's best images of the male form from the last five years and includes several photographs from his 2006 Sydney show, Men of Silk.

La Mama
It's crunch time for La Mama Theatre in Carlton, with the announcement of the grand sum needed to secure the property for future artistic endeavours - $1.7 million. While $450,000 of that will be contributed by the State Government, the remainder needs to raised through donations and fundraising. La Mama has been a staunch supporter of lesbian and gay plays for the past 40 years. Now is the time to give some love back.
