Home bheadlines Queen's Birthday attack Queen's Birthday attack Wednesday, 18 June 2008 A 31-year-old man was bashed on his way home from Love Machine in Prahran on the Queen's Birthday Weekend. The attack occurred in the early hours of Monday June 9, with the victim set upon by two men. He was beaten by the men approximately 1km from the club and had his wallet and phone stolen. It is uncertain whether this was a homophobic attack or a general case of assault. Moorabbin Police said there have been no arrests as yet, but are currently canvassing the area to identify the offenders. Police warn club-goers in the area to exercise caution when leaving venues late.
