A monument with footage of two men kissing has been unveiled in Berlin in memory of the thousands of homosexuals persecuted, tortured and murdered by the Nazi regime between 1933 and 1945, The Age has reported.
The memorial consists of a four-metre high grey concrete slab, with a gap containing a television screen showing two men kissing. It is estimated that the Nazis sent between 5,000 and 15,000 gays to concentration camps, with very few surviving. |
