JOY 94.9 Isn’t the only community organisation to take up residence in Bourke Street’s new City Village building, with the Gay and Lesbian switchboard making the move to the modern office block as well.

Co-presidents of the Switchboard, Brian Murray and Michelle O’Sullivan, are excited about the change of location for their administration base.

“There are many benefits of Switchboard being co-located in the city with other organisations like the ALSO Foundation and JOY FM,” the pair says.

The move marks a new era of ease and accessibility for some of Melbourne’s largest gay community organisations, as a centralised CBD location sees them working side-by-side.

In line with the move, the switchboard now has a new phone number for Melbourne metropolitan callers: 03 9663 2939. The number for rural and regional callers remains unchanged: 1800 184 527.
