Gay fans of action thrillers will finally see their fantasies come to fruition in Geoffrey Knight’s soon-to-be-released novel Fathom’s Five: The Cross of Sins, the first action thriller to see its male characters uniting to solve a mystery, as well as in the bedroom.
The five characters cover the full gamut of gay male fantasy. Included are an Italian model, a Brazilian biologist, a Texas cowboy, a college student football star and an adventurer-for-hire from New York.
The book tells of a group of hunky gay thrill-seekers and their quest to uncover a lost Renaissance statue. Deemed sacrilegious by the church, it is a symbol of free expression to the heroes, which must be salvaged in the name of the battle against inequality.
Along the way Geoffrey Knight promises readers plenty of plot twists and steamy action.
“Together, they travel the world, solving ancient mysteries, uncovering priceless treasures and getting into hot, sticky and sexy situations, while thwarting danger at every turn,” writes Knight in the promoting the book.
“For me, sex and adventure have always been a natural fit because I’ve always found that masculine heroic type so damn sexy,” he says. “But any kind of gay action adventure only ever took place in my imagination. Then one day I said, ‘Screw this, I’m a gay man, I love action stories – I’m going to write an all-out erotic gay fiction novel’.”
The author has been working for several years to publish a number of straight, mainstream novels with nothing but knock backs from publishing houses.
Seeing Fathom’s Five come to fruition, he says, has been the “most exciting thing” he’s ever done.
“It sounds unheard of but the first publisher I sent it to said yes and now it’s getting worldwide distribution,” he says. “I’m really looking forward to seeing if the gay community loves the book as much as I do. I hope so, because there are lots more to come.”
Knight says he is already putting the finishing touches on the book’s sequel, Fathom’s Five: The Riddle of the Sands.
Meanwhile, Fathom’s Five: The Cross of Sins will be released through STARBooks Press, USA by the end of this month.
