Lesbian maternity leave?

Wednesday, 21 May 2008

Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick has urged the public to make a case for paid maternity leave to the Federal Government’s current inquiry. “Paid maternity leave is long overdue and has the community support it deserves.” The Productivity Commission is inquiring into paid maternity, paternity and parental leave and is currently holding public hearings and accepting submissions up until June 2. Commissioner Broderick encourages all those who support the need for paid maternity leave to make sure that their voices are heard.  Email submissions to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and to read other submissions, visit www.pc.gov.au/inquiry/parentalsupport.
