The Kathmandu AIDS hospice, run by Nepal’s pioneer gay rights organisation Blue Diamond was forced to close after pressure from neighbours.
Twelve men diagnosed with AIDS, four of whom are terminally ill and unable to walk, were thrown out .The hospice, sponsored by the Elton John Foundation has been forced to move four times since it opened 2.5 years ago. The patients are now being cared for at the BDS office. |
