Seeds of Summer is the product of documentary filmmaker Hen Lasker who spent 66 days at a compulsory military training camp for women in Israel.

This documentary, which updates Two men and a baby to include the birth of Lucinda,  the second child for gay couple Tony Wood and Lee Matthews , sheds some fascinating light on commercial surrogacy, and the nature of motherhood.

With a pre-publicity splurge to die for, the fourth season of Kath & Kim took over Channel Seven on Sunday night. Apart from savvy commercial benefits, the move from the ABC TV to Seven also has a tinge of sentimentality. The Kath & Kim characters were born on the Channel Seven sketch comedy show, Big Girl’s Blouse in 1995.
